One of the reasons we created the OSCE Accelerator online learning programme was to try to reduce the load for OSCE Educators so they can spend their time supporting candidates with the practical skills development rather than trying to endlessly create and design new activities and resources.

The programme is fully up-to-date with all the most recent NMC changes and new stations so you don’t have to continually reinvent the wheel.

With 25 hours of content and over 100 assessments that are accessible 24/7 on mobile-devices, prior to the learner arriving in country and alongside their face-to-face training, OSCE Accelerator represents an easier way for international nurses to quickly and easily access the resources they need to help them get to grips with the OSCE fast.

The course is video-based with animations, activities and immersive clinical scenarios in a state of the art learning management system.

It has been developed using industry leading learning & development methodology and includes three full OSCE APIE scenarios that the learner is immersed in and asked everything from “What would you do next?” to “Identify the key parts in this image?” to simulate a real OSCE test.

We know that all candidates do not prepare for the OSCE test equally which can create challenges for face-to-face teaching when candidates are at different competency and knowledge levels.

OSCE Accelerator has been designed to get all learners on the “same page” so learning is accelerated upon arrival and face-to-face learning is enhanced.

We believe that one of the greatest advantages of OSCE Accelerator is that it enables candidates to sit their OSCE test faster and get better first time results.

Our data tracking shows first time pass rate increases of up to 26% with candidates who have completed the OSCE Accelerator versus those who haven’t. And the MHR candidate first time pass rate is currently 16% above the NMC national OSCE test pass rate (which includes resits).

We know our learners appreciate a structure and plan when it comes to preparing for OSCE so our fully supported learning framework including initial Demo calls, WhatsApp support groups, employer check ins, weekly reports and course milestones. That’s why 92% of learners achieve their certification prior to arriving in the UK – ready and raring to go!

The challenge with this is that face-to-face learning is also the most expensive type of training delivery, and can be harder to facilitate from a space and Educator availability perspective.

OSCE Accelerator enables Employers to cover off the OSCE training theory prior to arrival, so Educators have the option of reducing face- to-face training time or increasing the time spent practising the clinical skills.
